Notable Package Updates

  • All Kernels got rebuilt against the new toolchain
    • this adds linux68 series, which we have updated to 6.8.0-rc3
    • we also changed on how we handle extramodules
    • linux65 and linux65-rt got dropped
    • we added linux-firmware-uncompressed for linux419 series
  • Wine 9.0 got released
  • we added initial gestures support to gamescope-plus
  • Xorg-Server 21.1.11 fixed another security issue
  • those who still use pulseaudio, that is now at 17.0
  • Pipewire got renewed to 1.0.3
  • Virtualbox is at 7.0.14
  • Calamares is now at 3.3.1
    • we still have to test our ISOs with this new release
  • pacman-contrib is now a separate package
    • check if packages depend on this one or install if you develop packages on your end as needed
  • Regular updates to phosh, phoc and phosh-mobile-settings to 0.36.0
  • ROCm is at 6.0
  • Firefox got updated to 122.0.1 and Thunderbird to 115.7.0
  • Gnome and Cinnamon plus Budgie got some updates
  • KDE Frameworks are now at 5.115.0
  • LibreOffice is now at 24.2.0
  • Qemu is at 8.2.1
  • Mesa got updated to 23.3.5
  • OpenGamepadUI got updated to 0.29.2
  • Budgie and Cinnamon updates
  • Usual KDE-git, Haskell and Python updates
